that was the really the first time we nationally mourned and it's very difficult to do. i think when we talk about it happening at the community level, at the family level, there are these mental health experts who go in and they counsel and i think they do an extraordinary job. but in the end we really come up against that question that you asked the rabbi earlier in the show for these, i mean, the most profound explanations are often the most, or theological and we really don't have very good theological explanations, it's called the problem of the presence of evil and the presence of god, all loving god. as humans, we really don't. when you ask how do you counsel people, there's really nothing one can offer in the way of explanation, other than love and protection, really. >> and it's also tough to -- it's tough to do your job when you're there as a first responder, to respond to something like that. i don't want to say it's tough to be a media person, but it is to cover something like this when you're on the ground and try to get the story, to bring it out to people.
